Just for amusement. And don't worry about the shaky Latin. The English is shaky too. Just look at the first suggestion in both languages.
Sullivan County's new slogan: Something in Latin, perhaps

"Slogan capital of New York kinda works"

OR: A dead language to the rescue

Sullivan County's racking its official brains to come up with a suitable motto for itself. Candidates include "A Short Trip. A Lasting Impression," "Arrive Curious. Leave Inspired," and "Beauty Made Fresh Daily."

None has done the trick, and that's because the officials are going about their search all wrong. They're using the wrong language. The classiest mottos are all in Latin. E Pluribus Unum, y'know?

If it's also true that almost no one can translate a classy-sounding motto, well, that only makes it classier, and less likely to attract disdain, since no one wants to admit they don't understand Latin any more.

So here are some suggestions that could provide a "solutio" to the problem.

Imagine words to the following effect adorning the county's billboards and brochures:

"
Ad posse ad esse" — From possibly to actuality

"Annuit coeptis" — God has favored us
"Appareo Decet Nihil Munditia" — Is it not nifty?
"Apudne te vel me?" — Your place or mine?
"Amicule, deliciae, num in sum qui mentiar tibi?" — Baby, sweetheart, would I lie to you?
