You may not want to encourage younger pupils to watch this series on BBC 2 starting November 2nd, because of fairly extreme sex and violence - if we believe reports from the USA - but there are bound to be scenes you would want to show in class, and the HBO web site (see it here) has video clips, computer wallpaper and screensavers, along with plot summaries for each episode.
I don't know whether it's possible to download the largest size of picture, and enlarge it still more on a digital colour printer, to make posters for the classroom, but the results, if you could do it, would be effective.
It's probably worth getting this week's Radio Times for its 4 pages of coverage, and perhaps its cover, though the picture is ruined, as usual, by the printing over the top of it.
I learn from Radio Times that the set in Cinecitta is "a working metropolis that will last for at least another five years", and a second series is being planned. I wonder if one can visit the set and take photos of Rome as (perhaps) it really was. They would be a good resource for teaching Roman Civilisation.
